A former media member has blown the whistle on a conspiracy of Liberal elitists whose goal was to elect and support Obama and destroy hosts of Conservative talk shows. Some 400 people joined the by-invitation-only group. Most, it seems, were in the media, but many were college professors and think tanks. They required that no member cover the scandal of Obama's racist, America-hating pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Journalists from so-called news organizations such as Newsweek, Bloomberg, Time and The Economist joined in the conspiracy to come up with the best way to attack Sarah Palin whom, for reason, they had such great fear. One of these pillars of non-partisanship advised the group that they should all demonize any conservative journalist, if they could find one, as a racist if he criticized any of Obama's actions. This, he said, would silence the conservative, defame his opinion and scare any others from covering any story unfavorable to Obama. This sort of revelation is precisely why I question all facts and distrust all news report interpretations by the major media and particularly the Associated Press that seems to monopolize news presentation.

One of the Lefties who has been writing opinion pieces on the Post's editorial pages for what seems like an eternity penned another dandy. He said he has been "wondering when, if ever, sane Republicans were going to at least comment on trying to take their party back from the loony right wing that has hijacked it." Lefties are nothing if not consistent. They consider anyone who disagrees with their entrenched opinions a loony. They are furious about the Tea Party movement because, well, how dare the common people stand up and complain about the impossible debt, the huge growth in government, the steady erosion of freedom, and Socialistic actions of the Obama regime. Naturally, our Lefty is a fan of MSNBC's Chris Matthews. He quoted Matthews as having had an ongoing invitation to any Republican who will come on his show and disagree with just one thing that Rush Limbaugh has said, and he has had no takers. Matthews, who has been a liberal activist for his entire career, worked for House Speaker Tip O'Neill and Jimmy Carter. In one of his more giddy moods, Matthews made the silly remark that, when he listened to an Obama speech, it made a chill to go up his leg. I wonder if our local Leftie gets a leg chill thinking about Obama, as well. I am trying to imagine why a Republican would go on Matthews' show to disagree with Limbaugh or any other Conservative. Why would they do so? Because they like having the regime quadruple the deficit, expand the national debt to $13 trillion, nationalize industries, force a government health system through in spite of public disapproval, destroy out world stature, and generally botch everything it has touched, including the gulf oil spill?

What do Lefties always do when their ship is sinking and they can see their power is slipping away? They demagogue, discredit the opposition, make up their own facts, and the big one - accuse their opponents of racism. Thus, all the buzz about the NAACP recently. One of our own tiresome Liberal writers (sorry, he calls himself a Progressive) chimed in on the Tea Party Movement and accused them of racism and then let us know how moderate he is by granting that he did not feel that all Tea Party attendees are racist. Thank you Leftie. He also generously concedes that they "ostensibly believe in government accountability, the Constitution, and not continuing the deficit," but then belittles those ideas by throwing in the grandmother and apple pie cliché. Incidentally, Leftie, they also believe in smaller government, a halt to the runaway spending, and an end to the corruption. This man has never been to a Tea Party meeting, never interviewed any attendees, has no idea what takes place there. He knows only that they hold Conservative ideals and has heard about some racist sign that "ostensibly" appeared at a rally and, therefore, feels justified in using the racist epithet against all Tea Parties. This is simply dishonest writing and adds credence to the actual sign at a Tea Party that read, "What difference does it make what this placard says. You'll call it racist anyway."
I have also not attended a Tea Party meeting, but some friends are regulars. They told me they tolerate no racist remarks and politely ask anyone who shows a racist sign to please put it away.
The Liberals going after the Tea Parties shows once again that the Libs have no positive message; they believe in nothing? All they have is criticism..

As is so often the case, and hypocrisy being what it is, one of our country's most racist organizations - the NAACP - has launched a purely racist attack upon the Tea Party Movement. The claim is that the Tea Parties are racist motivated even though anyone who has witnessed a Tea Party gathering knows it is a hideous lie. These groups are grass roots gatherings with no central or unifying control and have the express concern about the enormous growth of government, the massive deficit, and loss of personal freedom in America. The NAACP like all leftist groups is desperate because of the sad state of America and fear of losing control on congress in the coming election. So what do leftists do when in trouble? They attempt to destroy the opposition and what better way - and one to which they invariably resort? They portray their target as racists or homophobes or whatever works. Although the NAACP can demagogue with the best of them, our train wreck of a President has certainly set the tone by regularly using race as a weapon, although his supporters claimed his Presidency would end the race issue in America. During this same news cycle we read about the scandal involving an Agriculture Department employee, Shirley Sherrod, a Black woman who told an NAACP audience - to applause - how she did not go all out to help a poor Georgia farmer who was threatened with the loss of his farm, because he was white.

The Post printed a column from a new writer, Tina Dupuy. The brief description of the author stated that she was as award winning writer, a claim I can only reluctantly acknowledge after reading her article. I am still uncertain whether the piece was tongue in cheek or a serious effort. It was silly enough I could go either way. Could be a serious attempt by a Liberal since Liberals never seem to have a grasp of basic economics and will always argue the leftist point of view regardless of reality. Or, given the apparent absence of reasoned thinking, it could be strictly satirical. She said "we" (apparently not her) are inconsistent regarding paying taxes. That is, we hate paying taxes yet are sanguine about paying for cable TV. She said our dislike of taxes is "an odd character trait in Americans." Seems to me that statement is odd. Her rationalization that we should pay more taxes seems to be mainly because Belgians pay more that us. Great logic. Never mind that raising taxes, any taxes, would be the worst thing to do in this struggling economy. She says, "For politicians, raising taxes is taboo." Miss Dupuy needs to pay better attention to events; bureaucrats need money to wield poser. The Democrat party has raised taxes every time they have gained control of congress and the Republicans also a few times. The Obama regime is raising all manner of taxes the first of the year, including the confiscatory death tax, which steals the savings of the deceased - money that has already been taxed. The Obama regime is also letting the Bush tax cuts expire - which is literally a big tax increase. To add to the inanity of Ms. Dupuy's piece she seems to be proposing that weed be legalized so that the greedy government can tax it.

The New Black Panther Party is back in the news regarding the voter intimidation case in Philadelphia when Panther goons blocked voter paths while brandishing billy clubs. The Obama regime has no problem with voter intimidation as long as the result goes in its favor so it dropped the case. New B.P. leader, Samir Shabazz, roared to an approving audience, "You want freedom? You're gonna have to kill some crackers! You're gonna have to kill some of their babies!" Now just imagine for a moment what would happen if a famous Conservative made similar remarks about a Black man. For starters, the media, always ready to salivate over Republican problems, would crucify him, he would lose his job, race-baiters Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would materialize to inflame the situation, and the justice department would launch an investigation. As some pundit said, "faster than Al Gore moving in on an unsuspecting masseuse." The double standard hypocrisy in this country is as barefaced as the Mexican president visiting our country and criticizing our illegal alien laws in front of our own Congress.

The almost universally left wing press has convinced the American people that man made global warming is a fact, when most recent studies indicate this is not so. The biased media has more recently convinced the public that we have inferior health care, which is not true. They have worked tirelessly to the Arizona illegal immigration law by repeatedly misrepresented the law stating that Arizona police will stop and question Mexicans regarding their legal status. It is immoral of the media to claim this since the Arizona only states that authorities may require proof of individuals whom they have stopped for some law violation. Also, the Arizona law merely re-states the federal law, which the federal government has failed to enforce. As writer Dennis Prager pointed out regarding these situations, "the larger problem is that the world thinking is morally confused because it is informed by the morally confused. How else explain, for example, why America, the greatest force for good among nation is hated, while China, never a force for good?"

I read that labor unions are gearing up for a huge spending spree on the upcoming 2010 elections in a move to keep the Democratic control Congress. They are particularly interested in keeping those in congress who will continue to push through the terrible, government-growing health bill. This is typical with modern day unions that work at odds with the American public and America's best interests. Moreover, as unemployment and the federal deficit continue to rise, concern is mounting over the unrealistically generous, debt-creating pension plans the unions get for their members. The damage that unions perpetrate upon society is world-wide. Greece is on the brink of complete collapse because of their financial failure after years of socialist entitlements and catering to the public employee unions. Desperate, the government announced planned pension and labor reforms causing a massive riot. This short report describing the most recent riot said it is all about the damage that today's unions do to their country: "violence came as some 10,000 people took part in a demonstration organized by the country's two main labor unions and fringe left-wing groups. A separate march by some 5,000-6,000 members of the Communist Party-backed PAME union was involved."
