One Guy's Opinion on the Political Scene By: Jim Herndon
It may be time to pack up my Blogs and travel on down the road. The return on investment in time and effort to write Blogs may have become too meager to justify continuing. At one time, the Post printed a couple of Blogs each week. This, at least, not only gave some recognition to Blog writers, it publicized their very existence and reminded readers that the Paradise Post has a web site. The paper stopped publicizing Blogs some time ago. Now, I suspect the only persons who read my blogs are a few of my friends and family, and I can easily send them E-mails if I feel the need to share some opinions. I am not a crusader in the manner of Stephen Rose or Jaime O'Neill with a mania for telling everyone what they should believe; on the contrary, I have always known that a conversation, letter to the editor, or Blog has never caused a listener or reader to change his opinion on anything. I blog because it is fun to blow off steam and express some opinions, often with a healthy dash of hyperbole.
