Regarding the events of the day vis-à-vis my several blogs lamenting the sorry state of America after the extremists have taken over the controls, the following caught my attention: in a single news day, one could find various headlines that encapsulated my laments about the mess Obama and his corps of lefties have made of our country. Here are just a few: Regarding the Obama government rushing to force a national health care bill upon the American people against their wishes and without a single Republican vote, "Senator Specter predicts successful cloture vote" meaning they will bypass all congressional debate. A totalitarian move. Also, "Louisiana Purchase: $100 million payoff to buy Senator Landrieu's vote," referring to political payoff, using taxpayer money, to buy a vote from a fence-sitting fellow Democrat Landrieu who was once considered for a Kerry running mate.
After four months, Obama, paralyzed with fear of erring politically, still cannot decide whether to accede to our military commanders' request for 40,000 more troops in Afghanistan. This headline appeared today: "Cost of indecision about Afghanistan is mounting and It's costing us dearly far beyond Afghanistan."
With his wild government spending, the inept Obama has destroyed the American economy and weakened the dollar internationally. He promised his stimulus package of $700 billion of taxpayer money would slow down unemployment and prevent it from reaching 8 percent. It is now 12.2 percent. He tries to put a good face on the issue by lying to the American people that we are in recovery. This headline appeared today: "Joblessness rose in 29 U.S. states last month compared with 22 in September, the Labor Department said today in Washington."
