Now that they have had nearly a year for reality to set in, I wonder if the Obama Kool-aid drinkers are seeing Obama-world any differently. He has kept none of his promises, tripled the budget deficit, enlarged an already bloated government, increased the national debt, trashed our economy, and driven unemployment to 10 percent. During the campaign, a woman said she was unconcerned about problems with the economy, terrorism, nuclear weapons in the hands of lunatics, our failing school system, ballooning deficit, and so on. She said she took care of Obama by voting for him, so knew that he would take care of her. So much for an enlightened electorate. Even some so-called informed public figures fell for the Obama con. Sappy MSNBC host Chris Matthews reaffirmed his sappiness when he said Obama's ascendancy excited him so that it "made a chill go up his leg." This from a so-called professional newsman. I am still reeling from some of Obama's choices for cabinet posts; he picked as treasury secretary, Timothy Geithner, who tried to defraud the government of tens of thousands in payroll taxes, and this man will be in charge of the IRS. Yikes. He selected as his attorney general a man who, under Clinton, pardoned a man who brokered a deal with our enemies. I don't understand why many people are still unfazed that Democrat Politicians' actions caused the terrible problems with our economy and plummet of their retirement and nest egg saving. They go right on voting Democrat. I really do not understand that the public has chosen the insipid American Idol as a favorite show.
