Never have so few bureaucrats done so much harm to so many in such a short time as the Obama Chicago mob. Thursday morning, The House Democrats held a press conference to spring their health care reform bill upon us - a 2000-poge behemoth they are trying to force through Congress without a single Republican vote before the slumbering public has finally awakened and smelled the stink. It is a hard-nosed attempt to gain complete control of the American medical system and, therefore, control of our lives in every respect. Concurrently, Obama is fanning the flames of public concern over Swine Flue, declaring it an emergency, to help him and his totalitarian Democrats persuade the public that the medical system takeover is a good thing. Dr. Frank S. Rosenbloom, President of Oregon Right to Life said, "Swine Flu is less of a threat medically and epidemiologically than was feared, but is a great mechanism for the promotion of political pork. Our founding fathers taught that it is healthy to regard government intentions with skepticism. We have failed to heed their wise advice, and we are now learning that the military tactic of deception is alive and well in the Obama Administration. While we are being threatened by H1N1, they are using the distraction to infect us with a much more deadly disease that will affect not only us, but our children and grandchildren: the disease of subjugation."

Someone labeled the Obama government as a "gangster government" because of its creeping control of the lives of once-free citizens in a Democracy and its attempted destruction of anything or anyone in its way. The White House is clearly out there to annihilate any significant dissent. Their objective is no secret. White House people told Politico that they are engaged in a deliberate campaign to "marginalize and ostracize recalcitrants," from Fox News to health insurers to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Along with control of our education system, takeover of major industries, including the health system, which is a huge part of our economy, the Obama fascists are going hard after our media. This is in spite of the fact that they already control 95% of the press. Liberal writer Camille Paglia said, "Only a simpleton would believe anything the shills in the media major media say." It is part of the drive to enforce uniformity in thinking of the American public. Chairman Mao was the greatest imposer of mass uniformity in modern history, leading a billion Chinese drones to read the little Blue Book and adore their leader. Our 1960's leftists like our Messiah Obama's mentor William Ayers also admired this tyrant who murdered 70 million of his own people. Obama's Communications Chief said, "The death of ten to twenty million people is nothing to be afraid of." She also said Mao was "one of her favorite political philosophers."

The huge dollar amount $1.42 trillion is more than the total national debt for the first 200 years of our country. It is a 1.42 followed by twelve zeros. It is also our federal budget deficit for 2009 and more than three times the amount it has ever been for a single year. Interest on the debt is the third-largest item in the budget, that is, after the entitlement programs, including Social Security and Medicare, and the military. Is there any point in repeating that we cannot go on with the stupid spending and wasting path our new government is following. Our Liar-in-chief, Obama tells us he will reduce the deficit once the Great Recession ends and the unemployment rate starts falling. In the meantime, more jobs are lost every month. Economists tell us such promises are unrealistic. Even Vice President Joe Biden, although not the most dependable source of facts, announced that we are now in a depression, not a recession. Not about to let a recession, the loss of seven million jobs - all the jobs added during the Bush years plus many more - slow down their quest to socialize America, the Democrats are pressing hard for a national health system. This will bankrupt all companies involved in the health industry and destroy Medicare, as we know it.

How does a totalitarian state take full control of the populace? They do so by attacking a few select areas of society. Typically, they rewrite the society's history in subtle ways such as convincing the people, in our case, that the Constitution is a living document that can be re-interpreted to keep up with the times - meaning an interpretation that coincides with their philosophy. Sometimes, totalitarians do it in not so subtle ways such as re-inventing our image of traditional heroes and role models. Tearing down our founding fathers such as Washington and Jefferson, because they held slaves. Denigrating Columbus because he brought smallpox to the new world. They criticize the very foundation of our culture and even go so far as to romanticize some of the worst figures the world has ever known. Teachers speak highly of Communist cutthroat Che Guevara. Obama's own Communications Director, Anita Dunn, said, "One of her favorite political philosophers was Chairman Mao," the most notorious mass murderer in history. Always part of the totalitarian plan is to control the schools and indoctrinate the children, starting at an early age. Note the infamous video of an elementary school class chanting Obama mantras. They have taken over control of education in America; Democrat-supporting education unions have accomplished that by opposing any effort at innovation to improve our failing education ranking. They fought school waiver programs, charter schools, home schooling, teacher raises based upon performance rather than longevity, and any other attempt to bring us out of the doldrums. An important goal of totalitarians is to lessen the influence of religion in a society. Liberals feel threatened by religion, because faith is anathema to liberal beliefs such as gay marriage, abortion, and moral relativism so they have for several years done everything in their power to get God out of our lives; out of schools, out of all public places, even off our money. An absolute must for a totalitarian takeover is to take control of the media. The Liberal Democrats have been periodically launching an effort to put the so-called "Fairness Doctrine," back in place so they could silence talk radio. Obama and his Chicago thugs have recently declared war on the only opposing voice in the media, Fox News. They have even suggested to the entire media not to ever carry any of the same stories that Fox carries.

We know from experience that the liberal Democrat mode of operation, when opposed, is to demonize and destroy their dissenters rather than debate the issues. Thus, it is not that hard to believe the recent talk of Obama and his cunning crew employing an "enemies list." They have declared war on Fox news, are currently going after health insurance companies that threaten their forcing a national health system upon us. They have gone after banks, the car companies, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, because it is against the Cap and Tax program, and now, are trying to marginalize even talk show hosts. They are still demonizing Sarah Palin, whom they see as a threat to their liberal mind-control war, and even attempted to destroy Joe the Plumber for public disagreement with the Messiah, Obama. Senior Republican Lamar Alexander, who served in the Nixon White House, offered what he called a "friendly suggestion" to the White House not to repeat the errors the Nixon staff committed with their enemies list efforts. The Senator rose on the Senate floor and stated, "Based upon that experience and my 40 years since then in and out of public life, I want to make what I hope will be taken as a friendly suggestion to President Obama and his White House: Don't create an enemies list." He said that such a "street brawl" approach of attacking political opponents "can get you in a lot of trouble." He described the unfortunate way that Vice President Spiro Agnew, Chuck Colson, and others on the hit team went after the opposition and said he sees "symptoms of this same kind of animus developing in the Obama administration." Actually, Senator Alexander's cautionary suggestion is pointless. The thuggish bunch in the White House are not about to let any such suggestion affect their attack plans. They are Chicago thugs, well trained in Chicago politics, who are employing practices developed long before even the Nixon administration.

Anyone paying the least amount of attention the last few months knows that the major news media is in the tank for Obama and his henchmen. In fact, they essentially put him in office because of their desire to get not just a Socialist/Marxist, but also a Black man in the highest office in the land. Many were practically giddy over the solitary fact that Obama was a good public speaker. Sappy journalist, a generous description, Chris Matthews said when he heard Obama speak, it made a chill go up his leg. Now, without fear of contradiction from the inattentive public or the weak opposition party, the Obama gang has have declared their control of the media. A recent headline proclaimed, "White House boasts: We 'control' news media." White House Communications Director Anita Dunn said, "President Obama's presidential campaign focused on making the news media cover certain issues while rarely communicating anything to the press unless it was "controlled." Incredibly, she went on, "Very rarely did we communicate anything through the press anything that we didn't absolutely control." It seems that Dunn, another left-wing loony Obama appointee, raised hardly a notice from the corrupt media when she displayed her Marxist philosophy by announcing in a speech that one of her "favorite political philosophers," was Chairman Mao, the most notorious mass murderer in history. Historians disagree on the exact number that he murdered, but agree the figure is between 35 and 70 million. The latest fascist White House salvo against a free press is their declaration of war against Fox News including a caution against the other major media, who they control, to join them in their fight against Fox.

American soldiers serving in Afghanistan are depressed and deeply disillusioned, according to the chaplains of two US battalions. One might well ask how this could not be the case? Their annointed, but inept, commander-in-chief is wringing his hands and seemingly unable to make any decisions regarding Afghanistan because of political concerns. Many of our soldiers now feel they are risking their lives for nothing. Six weeks ago, their military leaders asked for 40,000 more troops to insure victory, and their faux leader, Obama, keeps saying he needs more time to consider a troop increase. Translation: he is paralyzed with indecision; on one hand, he fears the damage to his credibility and his legacy if he leads an American failure in the middle east because he disregarded the requests of his senior military commanders. On the other, he fears the retribution in terms of support and financing of his extremist left-wing support groups who want to cut and run, even if that means relinquishing Afghanistan to the Taliban. Our faux leader is the man who said, during the Bush administration that Afghanistan had to be won but was "almost criminally under-resourced" by Bush, who was devoting too many resources to Iraq. On March 27, he said, "Today I am announcing a comprehensive new strategy for Afghanistan and Pakistan," and then described his plan in detail and said the plan was the result of intensive analysis. This episode demonstrates the corrupt and fraudulent state of the Democrat party, who now control the lives of our fighting men, and, in fact, all of us. Along with their corrupt companions in the media, they tried to force us into failure in Iraq, from the outset, tried to take credit for or discredit the effective surge. Then, they accused Bush of an error in judgment for emphasizing Iraq when he should be devoting our efforts to Afghanistan.

Liberty in America has been insecure since the Neo-Marxist Obamaites came to power and it took a serious hit with this latest episode about Conservative Rush Limbaugh and the St. Louis Rams. Limbaugh and several other minority investors have indicated their desire to buy the troubled football franchise. Liberals everywhere sprang to the offensive, with the help of the corrupt State-controlled media, to do everything possible to prevent Limbaugh's involvement in the purchase. When liberal zealots go on the attack, they call on one of their staple weapons against anyone they wish to destroy - the racist accusation - and they did so against Limbaugh. They based a charge of racism upon remarks the man made on ESPN about a Black football player, He said Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donavan McNabb was overrated because the press was promoting him because they wanted to see another Black quarterback. This was nothing more than a typical ESPN editorial that would have gone relatively unchallenged had a non-conservative made it. Then, feeling the need to reinforce the outrage, the various media aired some fabricated Limbaugh quotes. This outrage against liberty aroused the sense of fairness of even a couple of very liberal corners. NPR commented, "There is a genuine outrage in the use of phony quotes to accuse Limbaugh of racism. "CNN and MSNBC have both attributed fabricated quotes to Limbaugh without checking the source," and, "Here's a guy with an apparently genuine interest in the National Football League and the St. Louis Rams, merely trying to take advantage of ripe opportunities." Extreme Leftist, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, the Doberman, asked the question, "Is there now gonna be character tests for sports owners?" He suggested that, if so, we may end up with very few remaining owners.
The Liberal McCarthyism and groupthink political correctness of this incident along with the way the corrupt media handled it in this attempt to assassinate the character of an American citizen should be a wake-up call for all of us.

The BBC, similar to our State controlled major news organizatons meaning that it is typically on the left side of most issues, had the headling, "Whatever happened to Global Warming?" It continued, "For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures." It pointed out that our climate models did not even forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas that some wrongly believe is responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise. Climate skeptics have consistently argued that man's influence on our climate is totally overstated. Even the leftist media knows very well, or, otherwise, they should not be reporting on the subject, that there are natural cycles, over which we have no control, that dictate global temperatures. It is amazing how fast and widespread the lie about man-made global warming traveled the world, yet how slowly the truth is recognized. Of course, the axiom about following the money holds here, since there is so much money involved in the green hysteria movement. Moreover, the incompetent jerks in the state-controlled major media have pressed this issue unceasingly.

Doesn't it make you proud of our state-run colleges? Chico State, where one can get a degree in such a substantial field as "Multicultural and Gender Studies," is putting on a massive celebration and tribute to homosexuals. In a display of unusual taste, they are calling it "Queer Week" and their goal is to "raise awareness about the gay, lesbian, and transgender community," a worthy cause if one wants to acclaim an aberrant lifestyle that a tiny minority practices. To the organizers, it is apprarentsly more important to devote a week to honoring homosexuality than to such pesky things as the 10% unemployment, small business failures and increasing crime around the university. Our colleges and universities, once the homes of any and all points of view are now places where they celebrate "Queer Week" with various events and congratualate themselves for being progressive. Yet, these hyprcrites practice their own form of racism and bigotry when it comes to providing special privileges for minorities. They offer virtually no invitations to conservatives to speak publicly. When an occasional conservative comes to campus to speak, the staff, heavily represented by left-wing loonies and vacuous, Utopian softheads who believe that anything American is bad, boycots his speech, student groups destroy announcement leaflets, and some show up to heckle the speaker into silence. Universities now exhibit a mind-numbing liberal conformity to secular humanism, atheism, anti-capitalism, and anti-family values. Over the years, the E.R. has published many stories about the life syles and avocations of several looney, over-the-hill hippies on the Chico State staff. Remember the PHD who cleans one's aura for a fee? This "Queer Week" has the feel of another one of those sappy activities.

Even Clinton, generally lackluster regarding American national security, having turned down the opportunity two times to get Osama bin Laden, asked Congress for authority to order roving wiretaps, targeting the terror suspect rather than one specific phone, since even the most bungling terrorist knows to change cell phones frequently. Democrats refused to approve this but after 9/11, with the nation at risk for further terrorist attacks, they had to accept this enhanced security provision in the Patriot Act. These Democrats, never really understanding the seriousness of terrorism, are now saying they will not re-approve this anti-terror tool. Liberals, in true ACLU fashion are always willing to sacrifice American security for some imagined human rights violation, also want to abolish the law that allows terror investigators to apply for court orders to search business records in national security investigations. The Democrats in power want to limit this authority to instances in which investigators can prove that their target is an agent of a foreign power. Former Bush Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey wrote in the Wall Street Journal that roving wiretaps "helped thwart a plot earlier this year to blow up synagogues in Riverdale, N.Y."

The video of an elementary school teacher leading kids in songs of praise for our great leader Obama was far too reminiscent of the propagandizing of Communist China and the Soviet Union children. A very disturbing reminder of the liberal brainwashing that many of our teachers are perpetrating upon our kids all across the country and, all the while, our schools are plummeting toward the bottom of advanced countries. The mindset that sees children in school as an opportunity for teachers to impose their own notions, instead of developing the child's ability to think for himself or herself, is one of the most destructive trends in our country. Many teachers see teaching not as a responsibility to the students but as an opportunity for themselves to indoctrinate a captive and impressionable audience with their own views. I do not understand how we allowed liberal, lifetime tenured teachers and their unions to take over and destroy our school system. I do not even understand why we must have the ham-handed government run something as important as educating our children. America's education quality rating is near the bottom of all developed nations, and we in California are dead last among states. I also do not understand how we Californians keep voting into legislative office incompetent, corrupt legislators who have bankrupted the state and cannot even come up with an annual budget.

The E.R. editorialized that Obama is doing the right thing in putting off a decision about sending more troops to Afghanistan The commanding general, General Petraeus, and every other military leader involved in the war have urgently requested additional troops if we are to be serious about succeeding in Afghanistan. This editorial advice is typical of the pusillanimous, timid, thinking of moderates everywhere. Analysis paralysis. At least the board did not recommend pulling all troops out and causing another Viet Nam failure, as some of our large circulation liberal rags are pushing. Obama has had nine months to consider his options in Afghanistan, and his decision should not be a difficult one if his motivation was to do what is best for our troops and our country rather than what is best for his political position. The E.R. Board was inadvertently correct when it opined that politics was complicating the decision. However, the board was wrong when it stated that the politics was with the Afghan government. The true political issue is with American politics; the extreme left in America - the crowd that managed to put Obama, the most liberal President in our history, into the White House - wants out of the fight, regardless of circumstances. By now, we are accustomed to Obama-speak, that is, telling us he will do one thing and then doing the exact opposite. Still it is hard to believe he lied to us about such a critical issue when he said six months ago that his "clear and focused goal" was to prevent the Taliban from toppling Afghanistan's government, and to prevent al-Qaeda from returning to Afghanistan or Pakistan. U.S. forces "will take the fight to the Taliban" Then two months ago, he said Afghanistan is "not a war of choice. This is a war of necessity."

Our leftist leader, Obama with the golden tongue, implored the United Nations to do something, anything, about terrorism and global warming. The Bush administration did not bother to get world approval before it took action. That made President Bush very unpopular, but it also made the world respect his leadership ability. History will ultimately report - if there are any remaining non-liberal historians in the country - that the main achievement of the Bush administration was to protect America against another terrorist attack. Al-Qaida was decimated and our military removed the Taliban as a force in Afghanistan. Now we have a kinder, gentler president who is desperately trying to get the world to love him and to solve his problems for him so he can concentrate upon making nice speeches and appearing on popular talk shows. But the world sees Obama as the weak, hesitant, ineffectual leader that he is and is treating him accordingly. Europe does not offer much long-term help in Afghanistan. China and Russia are actually helping Iran develop nuclear weapons. North Korea is ignoring us and proceeding with whatever crazy activity they want. France's response was to say it would no longer support tough sanctions against Iran. In fact, France is more troubled about the arrest of movie director Roman Polanski, the fugitive from justice living in France for many years. There has been a long-standing warrant for his arrest for drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl, and he was arrested because he ventured to Zurich to accept a lifetime achievement award. Our Hollywood elitist crowd, demonstrating a prime example of Leftist moral relativism, quickly leaped to the defense of the fugitive child rapist because Polanski is such a fine director.

Obama let down his guard and divulged his true intention of a government takeover of every aspect of our lives with the recent statement: "Our government needs to fundamentally reform the rules governing financial firms and markets to meet the challenges of the 21st century." He and his new hard-left Democrat Party are currently preoccupied with forcing a Government Health Care system upon the American public. They feel an urgency to get something passed, even without a single Republican on board, before the snoozing public wakes up to what is happening to it. Once they force that abomination through the bureaucracy, they will re-address another totalitarian goal that will further debilitate our economy - the "Cap and Trade" bill. George Washington University Economist Walter Williams commented that, "Cap and trade is first a massive indirect tax on the American people and hence another source of revenue for Congress." More importantly, 'cap and trade' is just about the most effective tool for a government to control economic activity short of openly declaring itself a communist nation banning private enterprise. Moreover, he commented, "It is a radical environmentalist's dream come true." He further wrote, "About 31,500 American scientists, including 9,029 with Ph.D.s, have signed a petition, that in part reads, 'There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate.'"
