Government bureaucratic restrictions and general mean-well meddling prolonged the great depression for almost 10 years. We can only hope that Americans will not have to wait ten years to eventually realize that all the wild government borrowing, spending, and the unfair and repressive taxing will not fix the recession - only a free market allowed to operate under the natural law of supply and demand, free of government meddling, will do that. Our tax system is an income distribution process that progressively punishes hard work, innovation, and productivity. The more one produces and contributes to the country's economy, the more the government confiscates. Obama, hard-core socialist that he is, is going to continue to raise the already excessive tax on high earners until they lose their initiative and on businesses until they move their business out of the country. The liberal tax and waste doctrine has worked wonderfully in California - that is, if one's goal is to force individuals and businesses to move to states with less burdensome taxes and restrictions. Illegal Immigrants account for the only population growth in the once dynamic California. An article in the Wall Street Journal reported that if the Obama government taxed the highest earners in America at 100%, the revenue would only cover one quarter of the $787 billion stimulus bill that these soft heads foisted upon our country.
