Good riddance

You have to think that Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter's desertion to the Democrat is a good thing even if it leaves the Senate at the complete whim of the DemPols to do as they please to the country. Without the ability of the Republicans to at least stall legislation for further debate by using the temporary brake of the filibuster, DemPols can grow their bureaucracy, raise taxes, take over corporations, and carry us on into a socialist society. The Democrat party has successfully courted Specter often to get him to vote against his own party, but he said a few months ago that he would never his party because with the strong Democrat majority, it would leave his party unable to stop bad legislation. Ignoring the existence of that comment, he said he was leaving the party because it had gone too far to the right in recent years; a total lie, since, even the most devious Democrat admits the Republican party has moved to the left during that time. Specter, who jumped ship from Democrat to Republican several years ago, is now jumping back because he has finally backstabbed his constituents one too many times and knows they will vote him out in next years election. All politicians are superior liars, but Specter is particularly adept and, therefore, belongs with the Democrat party along with the other felons, fabricators, and phonies.
