Still guzzling the Kool-aid

Notwithstanding the lapdog press’s account of how the world adores Obama, and, on his recent world tour, he did give his usual beautifully formed speeches to much applause, he came away with nothing after meeting with various leaders.

France’s President Sarkozy said “The American President's call to free the world of the menace of a nuclear nightmare was hot air.” He said further, “It was rhetoric – not a speech on American security policy but an export model aimed at improving the image of the United States.” Another French official said, Obama's efforts to recast American leadership on the world stage would not fly.
Here at home, the Obama worshipers – and of course the press – are still guzzling the Kool-Aid, but, even after only a couple of months, the unimaginable borrowing and spending of the new Left has forced some strong reactions in the country. Texas Governor Rick Perry said, “Officials in Washington have abandoned the country's founding principles of limited government. He said the federal government is strangling Americans with taxation, spending and debt.”
