In transition

Nobel economist Milton Friedman said that we are already a 50% socialist society. With an inattentive public, a complicit press, and a probable successful move by the Democrat Congress to stifle talk radio, there is little standing in the way of a Socialist America. What with pushing national health care, taking over control of our banks and auto industry, redistribution of income with taxing policy, and growing the federal government, formerly ranked most liberal senator, Obama has taken us well down that totalitarian road. Norman Thomas, American socialist, pacifist, and six-time Socialist Party presidential candidate said, "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism," they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." He said further, "I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform." If Norman Thomas was around today, he could run on the Democrat ticket. When Socialism comes, can Communism be far behind? Political theory, as well as history, tells us that Socialism is a transitional form of government between Capitalism and Communism.
