What motivates such actions?

Specifically, Steyn requested listeners to call in and give their opinions on which of two scenarios explain President Clueless’s actions. That is, whether, on the one hand, Obama is a Marxist having spent a lifetime in the company of anti-American, Marxist/Leninists such as his Communist parents, Reverend Wright, and William Ayers, and is simply carrying out his intentions of converting American into a Socialist state. Or whether, on the other hand, he a naïve rookie with a child’s view of the Capitalist System. That is, that big business is evil and it is the government’s job to punish it because it for preying upon the poor, greedy self-interest, that makes too much money. That he views a Capitalist economy as a zero-sum system where, if some do well, others have to do poorly to compensate. That it is not only acceptable but desirable to punish success with unfair taxes and reward failure with welfare. That redistribution of income is a proper thing rather than a disincentive to entrepreneurs that hurts our economy. Personally, I have suspected the latter because of Obama’s idiotic public statements, choice of appointees, and ineptness in answering questions and addressing the press without a teleprompter showing him what to say.
