Anyone who have taken a couple of economics classes or simply observed history, know that by the time the inept, plodding, wasteful government goes through its process of hearings, money parsing to the states, and puts Obama’s stimulus package into effect, the economy will already be recovering.
That is, unless the gang that messed up our economy does not keep messing it up and preventing a normal recovery, that is, more Obama out of control spending and borrowing. All the misnamed stimulus package will have done is cause inflation, balloon the deficit, prolong the recession, and place a huge debt on our children. Trillion-dollar deficits will make inflation a virtual certainty. Bureaucrats will have access to hundreds of billions of dollars to blow on pet projects that stimulate nothing but their bank accounts and enough of their special interests to keep them in government. Self-serving members of Congress are already angling for projects that will get local votes for them in two years. Innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit that gave America prosperity is the only real key to beating the recession, not government bureaucrats taking over control of the car companies and banks, and screwing them up just as they have done to the school system, post office, Amtrak, and every other endeavor they have attempted. The last thing we need is the waste, inefficiency, graft, and mismanagement of that bunch.
