Obama World

The Democrats, who have the majority power to run roughshod over the opposition, can do pretty much whatever they wish in our new Obama-world. They removed that stipulation so that even those who lied about their employment, salary, or anything else, including illegal alien status, will get money from the government to pay their mortgage. Senator Dodd, one of the authors of the porkulus bill and major architect of the Community Redevelopment act that caused the mortgage banking failure, denies any culpability whatever, and is now in charge of fixing the problem. Dodd also denied any knowledge of the clause in the AIG bailout that permitted huge bonuses to AIG managers using bailout funds. He recanted the next day when it was evident to everyone that he put the clause in the bailout document. The man, who has been a senator for years, is a despicable liar even for a politician. I tried to come up with an extreme analogy to describe the situation of placing the politicians who caused the financial failure in charge of repairing it – for example, the fox in charge of the chickens, etc. – but was unable to think of a fictional scenario more ironic that the facts.
