Obama will pay my mortgage

The urgency of the $787 billion dollar spending bill was so great, there was no time for the bureaucrats to read, much less debate, the thousand-page document. Far too much of our society has its hand out to the government expecting, no demanding, entitlements, and politicians know how to respond so that entitlements have become a Democrat politician’s best friend. Once a political party gives a group freebies, the party controls that group. The major costs, both material and moral, dragging down our society today - poverty, health care, illegal immigration, or housing - trace directly to government bureaucrats having created a dependent class of voters with a diminishing sense of personal responsibility. Liberal politicians and their deity of political correctness are changing us into a nation of weak, timid, dependents who have fallen prey to the victimhood syndrome and expect the government to tell us all how to conduct our lives. Remember the Obama supporter’s comment when asked if she was pleased that Obama won the election? She said, "I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car, I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage. You know, since I helped him, he's gonna help me."
