Obama: Style over substance

It seems the rest of the world is not as easily gulled into swallowing the Obama sytle over substance personna, as are Americans.

From Reuters News Service: “The enthusiasm that greeted Barack Obama's election last year has begun to fade in some of Europe's major capitals, replaced by concerns about the new U.S. president's economic policies and softer stance toward Russia.”
German chancellor, Angela Merkel, excoriated the “global new deal” and the $2 trillion-plus fiscal stimulus that Obama is pushing for the European Union. She said, “I will not let anyone tell me that we must spend more money,” Europeans are not oblivious to the absense of confidence that Obama’s actions of stricter control of business, tax increases, massive spending, and borrowing have caused in the American market and its ultimate affect on the European market. The world is also worried about Obama’s Hoover-like mentality taking America toward protectionism and trade restrictons, and we Americans should also take heed. Those actions took our country from downturn to recession to the big Depression.
