Socialism, here we come

Senator Frank Lautenberg predicted on Thursday that none of his Senate colleagues would "have a chance" to read the entire final version of the $790-billion stimulus bill before the bill comes up for a final vote in Congress. Regardless of which party you favor, this should scare you. Take a last look and say goodbye, folks. Your freedoms, right along with capitalism, the market system, and the republican form of government are on the way out. We have a Socialist president and an all-Democrat congress with their hands on an unprecedented amount of taxpayer and future taxpayer money to spend. Socialism, here we come. The bill has little to do with stimulating the economy and much to do with giving the central government more control over our lives and our private businesses. There are so many examples of non-stimulus pork chop Democrat payoffs to special interests in this thing, one would not know where to start. For example, Senate Majority Leader and Nevada Senator Harry Reid got $8 billion for a high-speed rail line between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Obama insured that a nice payoff went to an outfit that helped him and the Dems get elected.
$4.5 billion went to Acorn, the leftist community organizing outfit that has been under indictment for voter fraud. Nancy Pelosi got $335 million for sexually transmitted disease education, and a few billion to protect some kind of frog or toad in her district.
