Lefties can’t stand opposing voices

I rarely read the most wild-eyed of our leftist writers – too predictable and too hate-filled.

He gave us another tasteless piece focusing the hate full-strength upon Rush Limbaugh. Lefties cannot tolerate opposing views; therefore, they despise conservatives and become particularly rabid over Limbaugh because of his popularity. He called Limbaugh a “treasonous, corrupt, drug addict,” and other conservative hosts SOBs, and fascist voices. Going for the title of hypocrite of the year, he said - and I am not making this up - that these hosts say “the most outrageous things.” A liberal George Will, our hater is not. He goes on endlessly about the stupidity of these people and the ignorance of Yale graduate George Bush, which seems rather haughty coming from a community college remedial English teacher. Liberals, supposed believers of free speech, grandly defend the rights of child pornographers but would muzzle conservative talk show hosts. Like totalitarians everywhere, they do everything in their power to silence opposing views. The template is as follows: first, attempt to destroy the character of the opponent. Failing that, go after the family - think Sarah Palin. Next, they try to silence the opponent through boycott or threat – think Obama warning Republicans not to listen to conservative shows if they want to get along in his regime. The DemPols have been trying to put into place the mother of all liberal censorship weapons with the most Orwellian of names - the “fairness doctrine.” It will allow government bureaucrats to control radio and practically silence opposing views. Since taking away freedom of speech is such a tricky political proposition, guaranteed by the Constitution the way it is, I read that the DemPols will find a back door way to silence their critics. The inattentive public might actually take notice of the Fairness Doctrine, even with that deceptive name.
