Here at the beginning of his term, there are two very important things to keep in mind about Obama:
First, there should be an expiration date on all of his declarations, because he will say exactly the opposite in a matter of weeks. Second, he is not one to let facts stand in the way of his message. Last week, he and the DemPols muscled through the most expensive spending bill ever conceived, with the most pork-laden, special interest elements that placed generations of Americans in debt for years. This week, Mr. Wizard said he is going to halve the deficit in his first term. His plan for doing that: raise taxes on the rich, bring troops home from Iraq, and allow the Bush tax cuts expire. As usual, he sounded smooth and convincing saying these fictions and the press and the Obama-worshipers swooned. Reality: “Taxing the rich,” means taxing small business, means confiscation of capital. Follow the logic: take money away from a small business; it compensates by a combination of raising prices, cutting production, and laying off workers. Instead, give that money to bureaucrats. Brilliant. Not surprising that anti-military, pacifist Obama would cut the troops; DemPols always cut defense. Former Democrat Presidents Carter and Clinton cut defense and put the country’s ability to defend itself in jeopardy. Allowing current tax cuts to expire is merely a DemPol’s euphemism for a tax increase on the 40% that pays taxes. Oh yes, he also said he would cut government programs – a promise every politician makes that even the most unperceptive voter knows is cow flop…..I take that back; the Obama-adoring fans and the media will swallow anything their messiah serves up.
