Clueless

To help businesses recover, the government could permanently cut corporate tax rates - the second highest in the industrialized world - but Obama flatly opposes that. Instead, he wants to raise corporate taxes on companies that do business abroad or those that drill for oil. He cannot understand that if businesses have more funds, they will grow, profit, and hire more workers to handle that growth. He is cajoling, threatening, and exploiting the fears of Americans to force a quick approval of the huge lard package. It seems the fight, not the lard package, has become the issue. He is obsessed because this is his first test as president – the test for a man who has never managed anything, never sponsored a single senate bill in his remarkably successful career, and has never taken responsibility for anything except putting together a good campaign speech. In fact, that is what he is: a good campaigner, not a leader, not a manager, not a visionary, just a person who can win votes. His argument of the day to justify this monstrous, pork-laden deficit breaker is the juvenile claim that President Bush ran up a deficit also. Ironic logic considering he made condemned the Bush deficit during his recent presidential campaign. Regarding our clueless leaders, Nancy Pelosi said we are going to lose 500 million jobs if we don’t pass this bill immediately; that is tough considering we are country of 300 million.
