You couldn't make this stuff up

Well, that’s a rhetorical question, since I already know the answer. We just learned a familiar sounding bit of information: The nomination of former Democrat Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle to be President Obama's secretary of health and human services has hit a snag trying to get through the Senate Finance Committee. It seems Daschle is one more of Obama’s appointees that has failed to pay his taxes. The irony of this stuff is priceless. Daschle was at one time a member of the Senate Finance Committee, and, even better, a member of the Ethics Committee. Last week, we learned Obama’s new Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, the man now is charge of the IRS, was also a tax cheat. Don’t you just love it? All this on the heels of Democrat Illinois Governor Blagojevich’s impeachment, a 12-count criminal indictment against Baltimore Democrat Mayor Sheila A. Dixon, and new scandal involving Democrat Charles Rangel who is head of House Ways and Means, the committee that appropriates funds. He has pilfered funds for his own use. You just couldn’t make this stuff up, and the Obama bunch has been there only two weeks.
