They sold out

The press, notably the Obama news agency writers, the Associated Press hacks, are in rapture over the upcoming inauguration extravaganza, are happy with the hyper-activity in spite of the $150 million price tag.

That’s right, a one and a five, followed by seven zeros to welcome B. Hussein Obama into the office. Hypocrisy being what it is, I was unsurprised to hear a quote from an Associated Press hack exactly four years ago ripping President Bush for spending $40 million on all his inauguration hoo-ha. Americans are proud of our Democracy and that we have a free press. What a shame we don’t have a fair press. The media that went on the attack of President Bush the moment he took office has long ago given up any pretense of balance. It pilloried Bush for the Guantanamo Bay terrorist prison camp situation, railing against unreasonable incarceration, water boarding, and psychological torture, and demanded the prison close. Those same journalists, giving Jughead some consideration since they know we cannot simply close the camp and allow terrorists to go free, are writing that we may have to keep the prison intact. How about the way the hacks went after Sara Palin for her inexperience – only a Governor – but are comfortable with Caroline Kennedy, whose fame claim is her family name, for the U.S. Senate to replace Hillary Clinton? Our media sold out to a political party and are no longer a credible source of news or information.
