The New York Times has been losing readership- as have many other liberal leaning newspapers – and analysts tell us the paper is in financial trouble; therefore. I have hoped the elitist paper would go bankrupt because a big city newspaper that uses its news stories to propagandize is a disgrace to a free society and should suffer the consequences.
That seems unlikely now that the Democrats will control all branches of government and will surely not allow their propaganda arm to go broke. I suggested watching for the major press to show its systematic anti-Israel bias by exaggerating the death toll and showing pictures of crying children and wailing women. Today’s paper showed a large telephoto shot of Israeli tanks looming menacingly toward the viewer next to a smaller picture of a grieving Palestinian woman. The bias-corrupted AP report headlined that there have been 400 Gaza deaths; the honest statistic would be 60 civilian and 340 Hamas terrorist deaths. An ethical reporter might even point out that the Israelis are trying to avoid civilian deaths and regularly telephone nearby residents before they bomb Hamas targets; that Hamas has launched over 3000 missiles against Israeli villages. Instead, the disgraceful press prattles about “disproportionate response,” as if there were such a thing as a proportionate response to terrorists intentionally killing civilian men, women, and children.
