Definition of Totalitarianism

Some sage said that once government bureaucrats give you money, they own you.

The government is almost certainly going to bail out the auto industry by unloading a few billion taxpayer dollars on the three majors, and, in the process, gain even more control of that troubled industry. I say ‘even more,’ because the government has imposed so many environmental restrictions on car companies that, combined with suffocating union demands, the bureaucrats have forced the companies into non-competitiveness with Japanese car makers. Then there are all the Government entitlement programs – a nice sounding name for social welfare - and affirmative action restrictions that have created a permanent dependent class ranging from welfare recipients to farmers. The DemPols, now that they control both the Congress and White House, will have an uncontested path to passing the censorship doctrine to silence those pesky dissenting voices of conservative talk radio. This move will gratify the media that will once again have almost full propaganda power over the public.
Definition of Totalitarianism: “Subordination of the individual to the state and strict control of all aspects of life and productive capacity of the nation using coercive measures such as censorship and terrorism.” “Retention of political power by means of propaganda disseminated through the state-controlled mass media.”
