The loose coalition of single-issue groups that make up the Democrat Party are now positioned to attain their individual goals.
The army of extreme leftists such as George Soros, who backed Obama and extremist Internet groups such as Move-on.org, unions, environmental head cases, and gay organizations. The teachers’ unions find it even easier to avoid change to their tenured status quo, and prevent any innovations that attempt to fix the broken education system. Trial lawyers want to block any attempt at tort reform. Labor unions need the Democrats who will bail out the auto industry so the unions can continue to conceal their culpability in the failure of that industry. Then the DemPols can, at the expense of consumers, to enact price supports, minimum wage laws, and tariffs that protect the members’ nice paychecks and fringe benefits, and can get laws that coerce workers to join their unions. Democrat politicians can roll over dissenting Republicans and silence talk radio conservatives who embarrass them with facts and question their wasteful and bureaucratic ways. Environmental groups can push through nonsense legislation that may cripple business and halt the country’s growth. Neo-Marxists can see their dream of a Socialist America come closer to fruition. Illegal immigrants can relax and stop worrying about going to the trouble of learning English and becoming legal citizens. It’s good news for the media, many members of whom feel they got Obama elected.
