Teachers should be worrying about why our kids have dropped below all other developed nations in their ability to write, speak, do simple math, and understand the history of their own country.
It seems they are more interested in seeing that homosexuals may marry one another. The teachers union gave over $1 million to defeat prop 8 which, for the second time, attempts to make marriage only between a man and a woman. Putting aside the question of how far our society has sunk that we need this proposition on the ballot, why are teachers so into homosexual marriage that they are spending so much money on it instead of upon real education? Why should teachers even be evolved in something like this? I know that there are good teachers and there are teachers who do not support left-wing ideas, but the teachers unions tell the teachers what they support, because they have the money they took from those teachers in dues. If neo-Marxist Barack Hussein Obama becomes our president, he has promised to take more liberty away from teachers by getting rid of their secret ballot. Like all other unions, these people are mainly interested in feathering their own nest, making lots of money from dues, and using it to buy politicians to advance their liberal causes. The unions are the main contributors to defeating the re-districting proposition, a bill good for us but bad for unions since they have spent all that money buying the politicians who might lose their permanent job representing a locked-in district.
