Every town needs one

Parents, who want their kids to have a traditional and wholesome education experience on one side; liberal crusaders relishing a chance to show their anti-establishment colors on the other. A couple of people from PCTN, usually so bereft of any community racism or mistreatment to obsess over that they have to invent some, interrupted the meeting to voice loud complaints. Then there was Jaime. Now, every town has a town idiot; in fact every town needs a town idiot to provide a little morning coffee gossip about the latest incident. I’m not saying that leftist weekly writer Jaime O’Neill is our town idiot, but certainly no one else is running away with the title. Similar to the incident after he was cited for seat belt violation and raged at the episode at the meeting when he flared that the policeman had ticketed poor Jaime because of his Obama bumper sticker, he played the fool at the prop 8 meeting when he “booed and walked toward the school board members telling community members how to vote,” and called Trustee Mike Greer a “bigot.” The good news, and there is always some good news, is that he is no longer instructing our young people at Butte Community College.
